society

Society taught us to value ourselves not as we are, but as we think we should be. We deem aspects of our psychology acceptable based on these standards, and others unworthy to be hidden in the dark recesses of our mind. In this way, the content of our consciousness is divided within, and because that is what we are, conflict arises. Rather than seeing the entire spectrum of thought unfiltered and unified, we approach it through the narrow and biased lens of the internal judge, who identifies and perpetuates the cycles of separation. Ask yourself- are you any different from this judge? Is the observer different from that which is observed? If you go into this very deeply, completely attentive to the movements of the mind without motive- what is dark will be light, and met with that which is beyond ourselves.
