What are we orienting ourselves toward in life? Do you know the answer for yourself? Before a quick idealistic solution arises as something like truth, God, or righteousness, though it may be true, may we investigate this matter further? What is valuable to us, worth spending a great deal of time doing? Are we ambitious, seeking our own version of heaven for comfort and something to achieve? Are we cynical, going through the motions, judging and labeling every person and experience we come across? Do we care at all what happens to ourselves or this planet we find ourselves on?  Knock and the door will be opened for you. Bring the same level of awareness to what you find regardless of how you interpret it. Understand that the more compassion you show yourself in understanding yourself, maybe the same compassion will be directed beyond yourself.
