scaffolding
Throughout our lives, we build and maintain a carefully manicured self-image that may be positive or negative in our minds eye. Is your interpretation of yourself something tangible, real, or is it simply mental scaffolding based on the past? One may find their self-defining characteristics useful for becoming successful, achieving the perfect life, and providing a frame of reference and ideals to act upon. We become attached to these labels and become distraught when one is challenged or found hollow. Can we see this process happening without any judgement, any labeling, but simply to understand ourselves? The high and the low, the pristine and the ugly, the sought and avoided. All are part of the same movement that is ours. Love enters when division ceases.
