resolution

When an idea, person, belief, or way of living we are attached to inevitably goes away, there is great sorrow. Why is this? The mind identifies itself with whatever it clings to, including patterns, images, concepts, and memory. When they dissolve or are challenged, our sense of self feels threatened because we have associated ourselves deeply with them. Does life conform to any of our patterns, beliefs, or ideas? What would it look like to live a life unidentified, fully free from all of our thoughts about it? When one breaks free from the limited perspective that is self-identification, there is potential for something far greater.
