window panes
How much energy and passion for life would we extend outwardly were we not burdened by our inward state? All of the stressors from home or the workplace, our fears, anxieties, and past experience all compile into what becomes the narrow frame we view life with. Memory is an essential aspect of this, obviously, but our reactions to it constitute an immense waste of mental energy. Now, rather than meeting each experience freshly, we carry the past with us, overshadowing the beauty of it all with our internal dialogue and preconceived ideas. Instead of seeing the bright sun through the window on a summer day, the pane is tinted by thought, and therefore the sun is no longer clear. If one is interested in this, they must discover how to be like a child again, not naive or ignorant, but liberated from belief and dogma. The blessing to see creation fully, and not your interpretation of it.
